The Notorius Benedict Arnold: A True Story of Adventure, Heroism and Treachery by Steve Sheinkin
When the American Revolution started Benedict Arnold was ready to fight for his new country. He led the fight on Lake Champlin and turned away the powerful British Navy. He led the charge in the Battle of Saratoga and sent the British back to Canada. He spent most of his money on the war effort and was crippled by a bullet in the leg. So what happened that made him offer his services to the British as a spy and become hated by the Americans and the British? Recommended for grades 5 - 8.
