The Aurora County All-Stars by Deborah Wiles

House Jackson lives in Aurora County, Mississippi. A town so small, they only have one real baseball game a year, every Fourth of July. House is the pitcher for the team. His arm was broken last year (by a girl) so he didn’t get to pitch. This year’s game is really important to him and his teammates, so that’s why he has to figure out a way to get his team out of the July 4th Aurora County Anniversary Pageant and back into the game!

This book has it all: suspense, betrayal, a dead guy, a dog, and baseball! Plus it’s loaded with southern charm that makes you want to spend more time in Aurora County. Luckily we can. This is Deborah Wiles third book about the fictional town in Mississippi, the others are Love, Ruby Lavender, and Each Little Bird That Sings.
For Kids in grades 4-6
