Taj Mahal by Caroline Arnold and Madeleine Comora, illustrated by Rahul Bhushan

Once upon a time in India a Mughal prince fell in love with a beautiful girl. She became his bride and together they ruled an empire. For many years they were devoted to one another until, alas, the queen died. The grief-stricken king decided to build her a tomb that would show the world the depth of their love. That glorious monument stands today—the Taj Mahal.
