Cinderella (as if you didn't already know the story) by Barbara Ensor

As the title states, you already know the story, but this chapter book version with a few added twists is a quick, clever, tale that fills you in on the “happily ever after” part.
Recommended for Grades 3-6

Travis and Freddy's Adventures in Vegas by Henry Johnson and Paul Hoppe

The boys are off to Vegas to win big money in hopes of bailing Travis’ dad out of trouble. A tricky feat to accomplish on its own, but add a dimwitted mob boss who’s fond of dangling 12-year-old boys out of windows in their undies- and things get really complicated. Read Travis and Freddy’s Adventures in Vegas if you’re looking for a page-turner that will make you laugh, gross you out, and leave you hoping for another adventure.
